A Farana Crane Operator (also called Hydra Crane Operator) is responsible for operating mobile hydraulic cranes to lift, move, load, unload, and position heavy materials safely at construction, industrial, warehouse, or infrastructure sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Farana/Hydra crane safely and efficiently.
- Lift, shift, load, and unload heavy materials and equipment.
- Perform daily inspection of crane systems such as:
- Hydraulic oil
- Engine oil
- Brakes
- Tyres
- Wire ropes and hooks
- Follow site safety rules and lifting procedures.
- Check load weight and crane capacity before lifting.
- Coordinate with supervisors, riggers, and ground staff using hand signals or radio communication.
- Maintain crane cleanliness and basic maintenance.
- Report equipment faults or safety issues immediately.
- Keep operation logbooks and maintenance records updated.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of crane controls and load handling.
- Understanding of lifting safety and hazard prevention.
- Ability to work under pressure at construction or industrial sites.
- Communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Heavy Vehicle/Crane Operator License.
- Minimum 1–3 years of Farana/Hydra crane operating experience.
- Knowledge of crane safety standards and site regulations.
- Physically fit and able to work long shifts.
