The Role
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Thrissur office and drive new client acquisition across international and domestic markets. You will identify and pursue opportunities, build relationships with prospective clients, and grow vBridge's revenue pipeline. Experience in contract bidding on freelancing platforms is an added advantage but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities from international markets — UK, USA, Europe, and the Middle East — as well as clients within India
- Generate leads through online channels including LinkedIn, email outreach, and B2B platforms
- Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, capability presentations, and pitches for prospective clients
- Conduct discovery calls and client meetings, understand requirements, and coordinate with the technical team to scope solutions
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through to contract sign-off
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, identifying upsell and repeat business opportunities
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM pipeline and report on leads, conversions, and revenue weekly
- (Add-on) Submit bids and proposals on platforms such as Upwork, Freelancer, and People Per Hour for international project opportunities
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition in the IT services or software industry
- Demonstrated ability to acquire and manage clients from international markets
- Excellent communication skills in English — both written and spoken
- Strong understanding of software development services (web, mobile, SaaS, APIs) to engage confidently with technical clients
- Proven ability to build a pipeline independently and meet revenue targets
- Proficiency with LinkedIn, email outreach, and CRM tools
Good to Have
- Experience in contract bidding on Upwork, Freelancer, or similar platforms
- Prior exposure to selling to UK, US, European, or Middle Eastern clients
- Familiarity with SaaS, e-commerce, or digital marketing technology
