Job purpose
We are seeking a highly experienced QA CoE Manager who possesses strong hands-on expertise in automation
framework development, particularly Playwright with Python/Java. The ideal candidate will actively guide and
support the QA team on technical challenges as and when required, ensuring robust solutions and continuous
upskilling. In addition to leading the establishment and governance of the QA Center of Excellence for banking
engagements, this role will oversee the integration and optimization of CI/CD pipelines (using Bamboo), drive
standardized, automation-led QA delivery, and ensure measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, and
process adoption across multiple workstreams.
Key responsibilities
- Adhere to established QA CoE operating models, standards, and governance frameworks, and proactively
suggest improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and process adoption.
- Drive governance cadence, reporting, and stakeholder visibility across programs
- Ensure adherence to delivery timelines, milestones, quality benchmarks, manage risks, dependencies, and
ensure timely escalations if any.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Strong proficiency in Java/Python for automation and scripting.
- Proven experience in building modular, scalable test frameworks using Playwright
- Hands-on experience with MCP servers for Playwright automation, including setup, maintenance, and
optimization of distributed test execution environments.
- Promote and facilitate the adoption of AI-driven solutions within QA processes as and when opportunities
arise, ensuring the team leverages emerging technologies to enhance testing efficiency and quality.
- Solid understanding of SQL, relational databases, and writing/debugging stored procedures.
- Experience with RESTful API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or custom Python scripts.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git), CI/CD tools (bamboo , GitHub Actions) and test management
platforms (XRAY).
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- SQL ability for DB validation; familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
- Regulatory & Compliance Standards
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Locust).
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
