- Monitor incoming raw materials such as kraft paper, adhesives, inks, handles, and other packaging materials.
- Conduct in-process inspections during printing, cutting, pasting, handle fixing, and final packing stages.
- Perform final inspection of finished paper bags before dispatch.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and approved samples.
- Identify quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Handle customer complaints and coordinate with Production, PPC, and Sales for timely resolution.
- Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and test documentation.
- Monitor and improve rejection, rework, and wastage levels.
- Calibrate and maintain measuring and testing instruments.
- Conduct quality training and awareness programs for production operators.
- Support internal and external quality audits.
- Implement and sustain 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to ISO Quality Management System requirements and SOPs.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality MIS reports and present quality performance metrics.
- Required Skills
- Understanding of printing quality, colour matching, and finishing processes. Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience in Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, 8D, Fishbone Diagram, and 5 Why Analysis. Hands-on knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, TPM, and 5S.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and quality reporting.
