We are looking for enthusiastic, field-oriented interns to support a street food vendor development initiative focused on improving the quality, hygiene, and standardization of streetside panipuri vendors.
As an intern, you will work directly with local vendors, helping them adopt better food preparation practices, improve hygiene standards, and complete the requirements needed for certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and onboard panipuri vendors in assigned locations.
- Build relationships with vendors and explain the benefits of participating in the program.
- Conduct training sessions using standardized training materials provided by the organization.
- Guide vendors on best practices for food safety, hygiene, preparation, and storage.
- Perform hygiene audits of vendors' preparation areas and kitchens using a predefined checklist.
- Document observations through photographs, reports, and digital forms.
- Assist vendors in implementing recommended hygiene improvements.
- Coordinate with the internal team to ensure successful completion of the certification process.
- Support the issuance of FSSAI-related certification/documentation upon successful completion of program requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of vendor progress and submit regular field reports.
Who We're Looking For
- Students or recent graduates from any discipline.
- Comfortable interacting with people and working extensively in the field.
- Strong communication skills in local languages and English/Hindi (preferred).
- Willingness to travel within assigned areas.
- Detail-oriented with an interest in food safety, public health, community engagement, or operations.
- Ability to work independently while meeting project targets.
