Job Summary
The Superannuation Specialist is responsible for managing employee retirement benefit contributions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate records, and supporting payroll and finance operations related to superannuation funds.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end superannuation contribution processing (employer & employee contributions)
Ensure timely and accurate payment of superannuation to funds
Reconcile payroll data with superannuation contributions
Handle superannuation fund reporting and submissions
Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., ATO, superannuation guarantee laws)
Respond to employee queries regarding superannuation accounts and contributions
Coordinate with payroll, finance, and external fund providers
Review and update processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
Manage data audits and ensure proper documentation
Track contribution deadlines and avoid penalties
Support system upgrades, testing, and process improvements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field
Experience
2–5+ years in payroll, superannuation, benefits administration, or finance operations
Technical Skills
Knowledge of superannuation regulations (e.g., Australian Super Guarantee)
Experience with payroll systems (SAP, Workday, ADP, etc.)
Strong MS Excel skills (reconciliation, reporting)
Understanding of taxation and statutory compliance
