Job Summary
The Project Head is responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of wastewater treatment projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, quality, and schedule. This role involves planning, budgeting, resource coordination, client management, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Design, Procurement, Fabrication, and Site teams. The Project Head serves as the primary point of contact for clients and senior management while driving project performance, risk management, and operational excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Budgeting
- Take overall responsibility for project planning, budgeting, and execution from project award to handover.
- Review project scope, technical specifications, contractual requirements, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Proposal teams during project handover to ensure a smooth transition.
- Support proposal development by providing inputs on project schedules, execution strategies, and budgets during the bidding stage.
- Develop comprehensive project execution plans, resource allocation, and project schedules.
Project Initiation
- Conduct project kick-off meetings with internal stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed project execution plans covering:
- Engineering & Design
- Procurement
- Fabrication
- Site Execution
- Testing & Commissioning
- Define project milestones, responsibilities, and deliverables for each department.
- Establish project communication and reporting mechanisms.
Project Execution & Coordination
- Lead and monitor project execution to ensure timely completion of all activities.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, QA/QC, Site, and Commissioning teams.
- Track project progress against planned schedules and implement corrective actions when required.
- Ensure project deliverables comply with contractual, technical, quality, and safety requirements.
- Manage project risks, change requests, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project execution.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication.
- Attend client meetings, progress reviews, and technical discussions.
- Provide timely project status updates and address client concerns effectively.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and successful project delivery.
Management Reporting
- Conduct periodic project review meetings with internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to senior management.
- Coordinate with the Managing Director for key project decisions, approvals, and strategic guidance.
- Escalate critical project risks, delays, commercial issues, and resource requirements.
Site Management
- Visit project sites as required to monitor execution and progress.
- Review site performance, quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
- Support site teams in resolving technical and execution-related challenges.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and company procedures during project implementation.
Cost & Budget Control
- Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
- Track project costs, identify cost overruns, and recommend corrective measures.
- Manage project cash flow, variation orders, and commercial impacts.
- Ensure projects are completed within approved budgets while maintaining quality standards.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, statutory regulations, and company policies.
- Promote quality assurance and continuous improvement throughout project execution.
- Ensure all project activities are carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Project Management certification (PMP/PRINCE2 or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Experience
- 12–15 years of experience in Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, or EPC project execution.
- Proven experience managing multiple large-scale industrial or municipal water/wastewater projects.
- Strong background in project planning, budgeting, execution, client management, and cross-functional coordination.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹125,000.00 per month
