Role Overview
The Placement Officer is responsible for driving student placements by identifying opportunities, connecting with employers, and ensuring students are fully prepared and responsive.
This is a high-responsibility role that requires managing both employers and students, while consistently delivering placement outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Employer Outreach & Opportunity Creation
- Identify job openings through job portals, LinkedIn, and market research
- Reach out to HRs, hiring managers, and business owners
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with companies
- Present ATI Skills students and training effectively
- Generate opportunities through cold calls, emails, and networking
2. Student Management & Motivation
- Build strong rapport so students listen, trust, and take action
- Ensure students attend interviews on time and take opportunities seriously
- Motivate and push students to overcome hesitation and laziness
- Help students understand industry reality vs expectations (salary, roles, growth)
3. Interview Preparation & Feedback Loop
- Guide students on how to attend interviews, expected questions, and behavior
- Collect detailed feedback after every interview (questions asked, skills required, gaps)
- Share insights with students to improve their performance
- Provide continuous inputs to the training team based on market requirements and interview trends
4. Placement Coordination & Tracking
- Schedule and coordinate interviews
- Follow up with students and employers until closure
- Maintain data on companies, openings, and placements
- Track outcomes and ensure consistent placement performance

- Strong relationship-building skills with HRs and companies
- Comfortable with cold calling and outreach
- Proactive and result-oriented mindset (placements are the key KPI)
- Ability to analyze interview feedback and convert it into actionable insights
- Basic understanding of accounting/finance roles is an advantage
- Experience in placement, recruitment, or sales is preferred
