Experience: 1+ year
Role: Junior UX Designer / UX Designer
Work Mode: On-site
Location: Marol, Andheri East
About the Role
We are looking for a Junior UX Designer with 1+ year of experience who combines strong UX fundamentals with an AI-first mindset.
You should be someone who enjoys understanding problems before jumping into screens — someone who can research, structure information, define user journeys, translate business requirements into experiences, and communicate design decisions clearly.
You will work across the complete UX process — from research and strategy to information architecture, user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity experiences — while using AI tools to make the process faster, smarter and more exploratory.
This is not a role where AI is simply used to generate content. We are looking for someone who understands how to use AI as a thinking, research, exploration, documentation and productivity partner while applying human judgement to the final outcome.
What You'll Do
1. Research & UX Strategy
● Support and conduct user research, competitor research, market research and secondary research.
● Use AI tools to accelerate research synthesis, identify patterns, generate hypotheses and explore alternative perspectives.
● Convert research findings into actionable UX insights, problem statements and design opportunities.
● Create user personas, empathy maps, user journeys and experience maps.
● Understand both user needs and business objectives before defining solutions.
● Identify pain points, friction areas and opportunities across the user experience.
2. Information Architecture & User Flows
● Structure complex information into intuitive and scalable experiences.
● Create Information Architecture (IA), sitemaps, navigation structures and content hierarchies.
● Develop detailed user flows, task flows and interaction flows.
● Think through different scenarios, including happy paths, edge cases, errors and alternate journeys.
● Translate business and functional requirements into clear UX solutions.
3. Wireframing & Prototyping
● Create low-fidelity, mid-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes.
● Build interactive prototypes in Figma to communicate interactions, behaviours and journeys.
● Explore multiple design solutions before converging on the strongest approach.
● Use AI-assisted tools to rapidly prototype, explore concepts and validate ideas.
● Iterate designs based on feedback, usability considerations and technical feasibility.
● Ensure designs are intuitive, consistent, accessible and scalable.
4. AI-First UX Workflow
We expect you to actively explore and use AI throughout the UX process.
You should be comfortable using AI for:
● User and market research
● Competitor analysis
● Research synthesis
● Persona development
● Journey mapping
● UX ideation and brainstorming
● Information Architecture exploration
● User-flow generation
● UX writing and content structuring
● Design critique and alternative solution exploration
● Documentation
● Presentation and storytelling
● Rapid prototyping
● Creating strategic presentations
● Exploring multiple design directions quickly
● Improving design-team productivity
You should be curious about emerging Generative AI, AI design and AI productivity tools and continuously experiment with better ways of working.
We are not looking for someone who blindly accepts AI-generated outputs. We are looking for someone who can prompt, question, validate, refine and apply judgement to AI-assisted work.
5. Documentation & Presentations
● Create clear UX documentation that communicates the problem, thinking, approach, solution and rationale.
● Prepare strategic UX presentations and design narratives for internal and client discussions.
● Translate complex UX concepts into simple, understandable stories.
● Clearly document user flows, IA, design decisions, assumptions and recommendations.
● Use AI tools to make documentation and presentation development more efficient without compromising quality.
6. Client & Stakeholder Communication
You will be expected to actively participate in client conversations.
● Attend client meetings, workshops, design reviews and presentations.
● Present and explain your UX thinking, concepts and design decisions.
● Confidently explain why a particular solution was recommended — not just what was designed.
● Listen to client feedback and translate it into actionable design changes.
● Ask thoughtful questions when requirements or problems are unclear.
● Communicate confidently with both design and non-design stakeholders.
● Be comfortable defending a design decision while remaining open to feedback.
7. Cross-functional Collaboration
You will work closely with:
● Business Analysts (BAs) to understand requirements, business rules and functional needs.
● UI Designers to translate UX structures into polished visual experiences.
● Frontend Developers to ensure designs are practical and technically feasible.
● Backend Developers to understand system constraints, data dependencies and technical possibilities.
● Project/Product Managers and other stakeholders to align user, business and technical objectives.
You should understand that great UX is a team sport and be comfortable collaborating, discussing trade-offs and iterating with different disciplines.
8. Design Quality & Continuous Improvement
● Follow UX best practices and human-centred design principles.
● Contribute to design systems, component libraries and UX standards where relevant.
● Consider usability, accessibility, responsiveness and consistency in your designs.
● Participate in design critiques and incorporate feedback constructively.
● Stay updated on emerging UX, Product Design, AI and digital experience trends.
● Continuously improve your design process, tools and ways of working.

12. A strong portfolio demonstrating your thinking and process, not just final screens.

- Proactive: You don't wait for every instruction. You identify gaps, ask questions and take ownership.
- Open to feedback: You can confidently present your thinking while remaining open to changing it when new information emerges.
What Your Portfolio Should Show
We are more interested in how you think than just how polished your final screens look.
