QA Automation Engineer
EXperience 4+ Years
We are seeking a highly technical QA Automation Engineer to drive our end-to-end and integration testing efforts. In this role, you will take ownership of our automated testing infrastructure, heavily utilizing Playwright for UI automation and establishing robust API testing frameworks. You will work closely with architectural and development teams to ensure high reliability across our distributed systems and modern web interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
Playwright Architecture: Design, build, and maintain a scalable end-to-end testing framework using Playwright to validate complex UI workflows in modern single-page applications.
API Test Automation: Architect comprehensive automated test suites for RESTful APIs and microservices. Validate JSON payloads, HTTP status codes, error handling, and data integrity across endpoints.
Data State Management: Write SQL queries (specifically for relational databases like PostgreSQL) to handle test data setup, state injection, and teardown, ensuring test isolation and repeatability.
Pipeline Integration: Embed Playwright and API test suites directly into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing, gating pull requests, and failing fast on regressions.
Performance & Contract Testing: Assist in establishing API contract testing and run localized load tests to ensure backend endpoints handle concurrent requests efficiently.
Defect Triage: Isolate issues by analyzing network requests, console logs, and database states to provide developers with precise reproduction steps.
LLM/NLP Testing: Test LLM/NLP-based applications for response accuracy, relevance, consistency, context understanding, prompt handling, hallucinations, and edge cases.
LMM/LVM Testing: Test multimodal AI applications involving text, images, and other input/output modalities, ensuring reliable and accurate responses across different modalities.
Chatbot / Conversational AI Testing: Validate chatbot and conversational AI applications for intent recognition, context retention, multi-turn conversations, response accuracy, fallback handling, and overall conversational flow.
Required Technical Skills
Core Automation: Deep, hands-on experience with Playwright, including advanced features like network interception, authentication state reuse, and multi-tab/multi-role testing.
API Expertise: Proven ability to automate API testing using Playwright's API RequestContext, RestSharp, or similar programmatic tools. Strong grasp of REST principles and authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT, OAuth).
Programming: Strong coding skills in TypeScript or C# for writing clean, maintainable, and strongly-typed test scripts.
Database: Solid proficiency in SQL for backend validation and test data generation.
Infrastructure: Experience running headless tests in containerized environments (Docker) and integrating them into cloud-based deployment workflows.
LLM/NLP Testing: Experience testing LLM/NLP-based applications, including prompt validation, response accuracy, relevance, consistency, context handling, hallucination detection, and edge-case testing.
LMM/LVM Testing: Experience testing multimodal AI applications involving text, images, and other input/output modalities, including validation of model responses, accuracy, and consistency across different modalities.
Chatbot / Conversational AI Testing: Experience testing chatbots and conversational AI systems, including intent recognition, context retention, multi-turn conversations, response accuracy, fallback handling, and conversational flow.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience testing React-based frontends and ASP.NET Core backends.
Familiarity with mocking server responses and stubbing third-party integrations.
Experience with visual regression testing using Playwright
