This is a full-time, on-site Equity Trader role based in Mumbai. The Equity Trader will execute buy and sell orders in equity markets, monitor market movements, and manage intraday and positional trades in line with firm guidelines. Responsibilities include analyzing charts and technical indicators, implementing trading strategies, and maintaining accurate trade records and reports. The role also involves research and advisory, managing risk and position sizing, and staying updated on market news, corporate actions, and regulatory changes. The Equity Trader is expected to follow compliance standards, adhere to risk limits, and contribute to the continuous improvement of trading processes. Candidates should already trade capital in Indian equity/F&O markets and be able to show a personal trading log, win-rate, and P&L — this is the single most important qualifier for the role.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of the stock market and equity market instruments.
- Candidates should possess skills in technical analysis, fundamental analysis, including chart patterns, indicators, and price action.
- Candidates should identify opportunities and take investment decisions.
- Candidates should possess solid analytical skills, numerical aptitude, and the ability to make data-driven decisions under time constraints.
- A demonstrable professional trading track record is required; paper-trading alone is not sufficient.
- Relevant experience as an Equity Trader or in a similar capital markets role is preferred.
- Familiarity with trading platforms, market data terminals, and order management systems is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, risk awareness, and adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements are essential.
- A degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, along with relevant certifications (e.g., NISM, NSE modules), is an advantage.
