Typical Background Verification (BGV) Process The BGV process you will facilitate or manage consists of several critical steps:
- Initiation: The candidate's details are logged into an IT tracking system.
- Document Collection: Official government proofs, educational degrees, and employment documents are collected and reviewed for authenticity.
- Verification Checks:
- Education: Contacting institutions in France/Francophone countries to confirm degrees and enrollment periods.
- Employment: Verifying designations, tenure, and reasons for leaving with past foreign employers.
- Criminal/Address Check: Conducting checks through local police or international agencies.
- Discrepancy Reporting: Flagging any mismatch between the candidate’s resume and the verified information for further review.
- Final Reporting: Compiling the verified findings into a comprehensive report for the hiring client
