About the Role
We're hiring an Application Engineer who builds with AI as a first-class tool in their workflow. You'll work on a healthcare technology platform for a US-based client, contributing across full-stack development, cloud deployments, integration design, and workflow automation.
This is not a prompt-engineering role. It's a hands-on software engineering role — you're expected to write production-grade code, and to do it faster and more ambitiously because you know how to leverage AI assistants, LLM-powered code generation, and agentic workflows.
What You'll Work On
- Build custom web applications on .NET 8 backends with React 19 / Next.js 15 frontends
- Design RESTful APIs, Azure SQL schemas, and integration endpoints
- Build and maintain MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers that let AI agents interact with external services
- Design n8n workflows orchestrating multi-step business processes and AI agent pipelines
- Deploy and manage containerized applications on Docker and Azure
- Integrate with third-party platforms (CRM systems, DocuSign, payment processors)
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js
- Experience with React and modern frontend frameworks (Next.js preferred)
- Backend experience with .NET (C#) and NestJS — comfortable working across both ecosystems
- Active, daily use of AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot — this is critical, not optional
- Working knowledge of the Model Context Protocol (MCP), including the ability to author custom MCP servers
- Comfort with REST API design and SQL databases
- Understanding of when to use deterministic scripted automation versus reasoning-based AI agent workflows
Nice to Have
- Experience with n8n, Zapier, or similar workflow automation platforms
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Playwright, or the Atlassian ecosystem
- Exposure to the healthcare or skilled nursing facility (SNF) domain — EHR/EMR systems, clinical or billing workflows. Not required — domain context will be provided.
- Background in consulting, agency, or client-facing delivery
How You'll Work
We value ownership. You'll own your tickets end-to-end — from understanding the requirement to shipping and supporting it. When something is hard or ambiguous, we expect you to push through and see it to completion rather than passing it off. We're looking for engineers who take full accountability for their work and don't give up when problems get difficult.
You'll work in a trunk-based Git workflow with atomic PRs, write and maintain your own tests, and operate within a structured Agile/Scrum framework — sprint planning, Fibonacci story-point estimation, and clear backlog ownership.
This role includes participation in an on-call rotation for production support, with occasional evening deployment windows.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,700,000.00 per year
