Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager/Senior Manager to lead the sales efforts for our upcoming AI conferences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B telesales, with a proven track record in conference sales. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive sales, develop new business opportunities, and lead a team to achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets for AI conferences.
Identify and target potential clients, sponsors, and partners for conference participation.
Drive end-to-end sales processes, including prospecting, lead qualification, pitch presentations, negotiation, and closing deals.
B2B Telesales:
Lead B2B telesales initiatives, focusing on outbound calls to secure sponsorships, delegate sales, and exhibition space.
Develop tailored sales pitches that address the needs and interests of potential clients.
Manage and optimize the telesales process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Business Development:
Identify new business opportunities by researching industry trends, market conditions, and potential clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, partners, and delegates.
Expand the client base by targeting both existing and new markets.
Team Leadership:
Manage, mentor, and motivate a sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
Provide regular training and development opportunities to enhance the team's sales skills and industry knowledge.
Set clear performance goals, monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback.
Client Relationship Management:
Maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, addressing any concerns and ensuring client satisfaction.
Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to deliver a seamless client experience.
Reporting & Analytics:
Track and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management.
Utilize data-driven insights to refine sales strategies and improve overall performance.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry.
Event Support:
Assist in the planning and execution of AI conferences, ensuring that sales efforts align with event objectives.
Attend conferences and networking events to represent the company and build industry connections.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
7+ years of experience in B2B telesales, with a focus on conference sales or similar events.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of the AI industry and related market trends.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Experience in managing and leading a sales team.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
High level of initiative and self-motivation.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in selling to C-level executives and decision-makers.
Knowledge of AI and technology conferences is a plus.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
