Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background along with a passion for sales and customer relationship management. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing existing customer accounts, and driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within industrial and manufacturing sectors.
- Generate leads through field visits, referrals, networking, and market research.
- Meet prospective customers to understand their technical requirements and recommend suitable products or solutions.
- Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and commercial offers in coordination with internal teams.
- Conduct regular follow-ups to convert enquiries into business opportunities and successful order closures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely execution of orders.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets assigned by the management.
- Maintain records of customer interactions, visit reports, sales activities, and business forecasts.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer requirements to identify new opportunities.
- Participate in exhibitions, customer meetings, product demonstrations, and industry events whenever required.
- Ensure prompt resolution of customer concerns and provide necessary after-sales support.
Qualifications / Eligibility
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
- OR
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with relevant industrial sales experience.Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in B2B industrial or technical sales.
- Experience in selling industrial products, engineering solutions, automation products, machinery, instrumentation, or related products will be preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions.
- Basic understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and industrial applications.
- Self-motivated with a target-driven approach to achieving sales objectives.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Strong planning, follow-up, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in Marathi, Hindi, and English preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Valid two-wheeler or four-wheeler driving licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Pune and nearby industrial areas including Chakan, Talegaon, Bhosari, Ranjangaon, and surrounding regions.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
