The Head Naturalist at (a premier eco-luxury property managed by CGH Earth in Mararikulam, Kerala) serves as the primary custodian of the resort’s extensive coastal biodiversity and its "Earth Ambassador."While junior team members focus largely on day-to-day guest guiding, the Head Naturalist oversees the strategic management of the property's unique ecosystem. This ecosystem boasts 97 species of butterflies, 350 species of endemic plants, and a variety of turtles and frogs. - Butterfly & Organic Garden Curation: Oversee and scientifically manage the specialized Butterfly Garden and the resort's 4-acre organic farm. [1]
- Biodiversity Monitoring: Track and catalogue endemic flora and fauna species across the 30–36 acres of protected parkland. [1, 2]

Premium Experience Design & Guiding
- Expert Trail Blazing: Design and personally lead high-end, immersive nature trails, specialized bird-watching walks, and forest bathing sessions. [1]
- Cultural & Community Liaison: Direct village tours and early morning excursions to the local fish-landing harbor. These tours showcase the symbiotic lifestyle of the regional Malabar fisherfolk. [1, 2, 3]
- Storytelling & Engagement: Utilize deep narrative skills to make complex ecological systems accessible to domestic and international luxury travelers. [1]
Team Leadership & Activity Coordination
- Department Management: Manage and mentor Junior Naturalists, Trainees, and Activity Coordinators. [1]
- Curriculum Development: Plan and execute guest activities, ranging from evening ecological presentations and campfire storytelling to corporate social responsibility programs.
