Job Summary
The Automotive Modeler is tasked with developing detailed and accurate 3D models of vehicle parts, Drawing files, DXF filesand complete assemblies in software Solid works. This role supports the entire design process, including visualization of components and ensuring the models are ready for sampling and manufacturing. The role involves close collaboration with production, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure models meet aesthetic, functional, and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed 3D CAD models for automotive sheet metal designing, model of components, and molding drawing, Cad and GD&T files. Convert products into production-ready solid models. Prepare models for prototyping, tooling, and manufacturing. Ensure compliance with design standards, Dimensional fitments GD&T, and automotive regulations. Perform model checks for fit, form, function, and assembly feasibility.Manage revisions and maintain design documentation and Parts drawing and design files in PDF and Catalogue format.Support design changes, cost optimization, and weight reduction initiatives.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in SolidWorks, and NX CAD strong knowledge of surface modeling and solid modeling techniques.Understanding of automotive materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerances ability to interpret 2D drawings, sketches, and design briefs.Knowledge of GD&T and automotive standards. Good problem-solving and communication skills. Model accuracy and quality timely delivery of design outputsnumber of design iterations and rework reductioncompliance with design and Manufacturing standards.
Qualifications: Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
Experience Required: Candidates who are fresher’s or have up to one or two year of experience can apply. Fresher’s are also eligible.Day shift and Morning shift are available.
