Job Summary
The Field Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production/operational activities at the field site, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and according to plan. This role supervises field crews/workers, coordinates with the main office/plant, and ensures targets for output, quality, and safety are met on-site.
Key Responsibilities
Field Operations Management
- Supervise daily field activities to ensure production/operational targets are met
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials at the site
- Ensure work follows approved plans, schedules, and specifications
- Resolve on-site issues (equipment breakdown, material shortage, weather delays, manpower gaps)
Team Supervision
- Lead and supervise field workers/crew/technicians
- Assign daily tasks and monitor work progress
- Train field staff on procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use
- Conduct performance evaluations and enforce discipline/attendance
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at the site
- Conduct toolbox talks/safety briefings before work starts
- Ensure use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures
- Report incidents, near-misses, and take corrective action
Quality Control
- Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with specifications/standards
- Identify and correct deviations or defects on-site
- Coordinate with QC/QA teams for inspections and approvals
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare daily field/site reports (progress, manpower, materials used, issues)
- Maintain logs of equipment usage, downtime, and incidents
- Report status updates to office/management regularly
- Track material consumption vs. plan
Coordination
- Liaise between field site and head office/plant/planning team
- Coordinate with logistics for timely delivery of materials/equipment to site
- Communicate with clients/stakeholders on-site as required
- Support scheduling and planning based on field conditions
Equipment & Resource Management
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and availability of field equipment/tools/vehicles
- Monitor fuel, consumables, and resource usage
- Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with minimal disruption to work
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Higher Secondary & Diploma/Bachelor's
- 1–2 years of field/site experience,
- Strong knowledge of site operations, safety standards, and quality procedures
- Ability to work on-site/outdoors, including in remote or harsh conditions
- Good communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in basic reporting tools (Excel, mobile reporting apps)
Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
