About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to build and scale a production-grade AI-powered platform focused on image understanding, scene reconstruction, and automated media generation.
This is a backend-focused role requiring expertise in scalable API development, asynchronous processing, distributed systems, and AI-integrated backend architectures. You will collaborate closely with AI/ML, Frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver high-performance solutions powering object detection, segmentation, and 3D reconstruction pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services and APIs using FastAPI
- Build modular, maintainable, and well-documented systems
- Develop asynchronous processing pipelines for AI workloads
- Design and manage distributed job queues using Celery, RQ, Kafka, or similar technologies
- Handle long-running and GPU-intensive tasks efficiently
- Work with PostgreSQL and object storage solutions such as AWS S3
- Integrate, deploy, and optimize machine learning models in production
- Improve inference performance through batching, caching, and throughput optimization
- Ensure system reliability through monitoring, retries, fault tolerance, and fallbacks
- Collaborate with AI/ML Engineers, Frontend Developers, and DevOps teams
Required Qualifications
- 3-8 years of professional Python development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI and REST API development
- Deep understanding of asynchronous programming and scalable backend architectures
- Experience with Redis and queue management systems (Celery, Kafka, RQ, etc.)
- Strong PostgreSQL database experience
- Experience with Docker (Mandatory)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Strong understanding of system design principles and microservices architecture
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI/ML pipelines and model integration
- Knowledge of Computer Vision frameworks and models (YOLO, DETR, SAM, etc.)
- Experience deploying machine learning models in production environments
- Understanding of GPU workloads and performance optimization
- Background in image processing, video processing, or real-time systems
- Experience with Kubernetes
