- Key Responsibilities:
- Type and format legal documents including plaints, written statements, affidavits, petitions, applications, appeals, legal notices, agreements, deeds, contracts, title reports, opinions, and correspondence.
- Prepare documents in accordance with court rules, prescribed formats, and the firm's drafting standards.
- Proofread documents to ensure grammatical accuracy, proper formatting, consistency, and correctness of names, dates, figures, and legal references.
- Convert handwritten drafts, scanned copies, PDFs, and dictated material into editable documents.
- Prepare, edit, and finalize documents in Microsoft Word and other office applications.
- Maintain soft copies and hard copies of legal files in an organized manner.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of all client information, legal documents, and firm records.
- Coordinate with advocates regarding corrections, revisions, and urgent filings.
- Assist in printing, scanning, photocopying, compiling, indexing, pagination, and binding of court papers.
- Maintain document versions and ensure only the latest approved version is circulated.
- Prepare covering letters, emails, office correspondence, and administrative documentation as instructed.
- Skills Required
- Excellent typing speed (minimum 40–60 words per minute preferred).
- High accuracy with minimal typing errors.
- Excellent command over written English.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and court documentation will be preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDF editing software.
- Familiarity with document formatting, page numbering, indexing, and table creation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
