Job Title: Generative AI Developer (3–5 Years Experience)
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and communicative Generative AI Developer to join our innovation team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI research and practical business applications. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing Gen AI solutions specifically within the Google AI ecosystem (Vertex AI, Gemini, and PaLM).
The ideal candidate isn't just a coder—they are an AI strategist who can articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into robust, scalable AI architectures.
Key Responsibilities
. Solution Architecture: Design and implement end-to-end Generative AI workflows, including RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines and agentic frameworks.
. Google AI Integration: Leverage the Vertex AI platform to manage the machine learning lifecycle, specifically utilizing Gemini models for text, code, and multimodal tasks.
. Prompt Engineering & Tuning: Develop sophisticated prompt strategies and perform fine-tuning on Foundation Models to improve accuracy, safety, and relevance.
. API Development: Build and maintain scalable APIs and microservices to integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise products.
. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a technical consultant for product and business teams, ensuring AI initiatives align with user needs and ethical standards.
. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize model latency, token usage, and cost-efficiency in production environments.
Technical Qualifications
. Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in Software Engineering or Data Science, with at least 1.5+ years focused specifically on Generative AI.
. Google Cloud Expertise: Proven experience with Vertex AI Studio, Model Garden, and Vector Search (formerly Matching Engine).
. Programming: Mastery of Python and its AI ecosystem (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX).
. Frameworks: Proficiency in LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Firebase Genkit.
. Data Handling: Experience with Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, or Vertex Vector Search) and handling unstructured data.
. LLMOps: Familiarity with CI/CD for AI, including evaluation frameworks (DeepEval, RAGAS) and monitoring tools.
The "Right Experience" & Soft Skills
. Exceptional Communication: You can explain the difference between a "temperature" setting and a "top-p" parameter to a Project Manager without breaking a sweat.
. Consultative Mindset: You don't just build what's asked; you challenge requirements to ensure the solution is feasible and impactful.
. Adaptability: The AI landscape changes weekly; you have a proven track record of rapidly learning and implementing new tools (like moving from PaLM 2 to Gemini 1.5 Pro).
. Ethical Foundation: Deep understanding of AI safety, hallucination mitigation, and data privacy.
