Job Summary:
The Piping Stress Engineer will support the piping stress analysis team in evaluating piping systems using CAESAR II for oil & gas and EPCM projects to ensure structural integrity, ensuring code compliance with ASME / API / IBR.
The role includes performing stress analysis by evaluating thermal, seismic and support loads, preparing stress reports and critical line lists, supporting pipe support design, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for international projects.

Perform stress analysis and flexibility checks.
- Evaluate loads from seismic, thermal, wind, and relief systems.
- Select spring supports and assess nozzle load compliance.
- Conduct WRC nozzle flexibility and flange leak checks.
- Prepare datasheets for expansion joints and spring hangers.
- Maintain pipe support standards and generate stress reports.
- Review pipeline layouts and identify stress-critical lines.
- Measure the effects of support settlement, safety relief valves, seismic loads, thermal cycle loads and wind.
- Support in evaluating stress, Displacement, Forces, and moments on restraints for support design and evaluate piping loads within allowable nozzle loads.
- Support in evaluating Nozzle flexibilities and stresses, Flange Leak Check.
- Assisting Data sheet preparation for Expansion joints, spring hanger data sheet and updating the pipe support standards.
- Support selection and location.
- Stress analysis report preparation.
- Preparation of stress critical line list.
- Pipeline layout analysis.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/chemical engineering.
- 05–10 years’ experience in EPCM / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical project.
- Expertise in CAESAR II for piping stress analysis
- Strong grasping of pipe support design and standards
- Familiarity with ASME, API, IBR codes
- Experience in 3D data-centric projects using CAESAR II & Navisworks
- Knowledge of engineering deliverables: GA, Isometrics, MTOs, support drawings, specs, line/valve lists
- Ability to independently design and analyse piping systems
- Strong academic knowledge especially of Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials and Theory of Machines.
