Role Overview
As a UI/UX Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing intuitive, scalable web application layouts optimized for both desktop and mobile screens. With 1 year of hands-on experience, you possess a strong foundation in product design lifecycle methodologies.
You will act as a key collaborative bridge, transforming abstract ideas from visionaries and business teams into functional prototypes, and closely partnering with developers to ensure pixel-perfect deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with company visionaries, product management, business teams, and engineering to translate strategic goals into seamless digital experiences.
- Responsive Layout Design: Design responsive web application layouts, ensuring fluid, optimized, and accessible user experiences across both desktop resolutions and mobile devices.
- UX Research & Frameworks: Develop detailed User Personas, map out comprehensive Use Cases, and chart Golden Paths (the ideal user journey) to streamline user workflows.
- Prototyping & Wireframing: Translate conceptual user flows into Low-Fidelity wireframes for rapid feedback, and graduate them into interactive, pixel-perfect High-Fidelity wireframes and prototypes.
- Applying UX Psychology: Leverage established Laws of UI/UX (e.g., Jakob’s Law, Hick’s Law, Fitts’s Law, Gestalt principles) to justify design decisions and optimize user conversion rates.
- Developer Handoff: Work closely with the development team to ensure smooth design handoffs, providing well-structured design tokens, assets, and component states.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 1 year of professional experience designing web-based applications (Desktop & Mobile responsive design).
- Core UX Methodologies: Proven understanding of Persona Mapping, Use Case creation, and defining Golden Paths for complex application user journeys.
- Design Toolkit: Mastery of modern industry-standard design tools, specifically Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch,Adobe Photoshop, AI design tools .
- Design Execution: Ability to seamlessly move from pen-and-paper or digital Low-Fi wireframes to interactive, testable High-Fi components and prototypes.
- Theoretical Knowledge: Deep understanding of UI/UX laws, layout grids, typography, color theory, and web accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
- Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills—you can confidently articulate why a design decision was made to both business stakeholders and engineers.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Basic understanding of HTML5/CSS3 capabilities (to better collaborate with front-end developers).
- Experience participating in user testing sessions and gathering qualitative feedback.
- A strong, structured portfolio showcasing the step-by-step design process (from research to final UI screens).
