About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to lead our busy cafeteria in Calangute. The ideal candidate will design menus, oversee food preparation, ensure high quality and consistency of dishes, manage kitchen operations, and lead a small team. You’ll help create delicious food that keeps customers coming back!
Key ResponsibilitiesKitchen & Food
- Plan, prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to menu standards.
- Create seasonal menus, daily specials, and cost-effective recipes.
- Maintain portion control, presentation standards, and food quality.
- Ensure food is prepared safely and meets hygiene standards.
Operations & Management
- Supervise and train kitchen staff.
- Maintain inventory and order food supplies.
- Monitor food costs and reduce wastage.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and cleanliness.
Customer Experience
- Respond to customer feedback professionally.
- Ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Innovate menu items based on customer preferences.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure compliance with local health regulations.
- Conduct regular kitchen safety checks.
Required Skills & QualificationsExperience
- Minimum 1–2 years of kitchen/chef experience (preferably with cafeteria, restaurant, resort, or hotel).
- Prior experience as a Chef is preferred.
- Should currently be Staying in GOA
Skills
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of Indian and international cuisines.
- Ability to manage kitchen staff and multitask under pressure.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Understanding of food cost control and inventory management.
Education
- Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management (preferred but not mandatory).
