Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated PGT Chemistry Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to senior secondary students (Grades 11 & 12), preparing them for board examinations and competitive entrance tests. You will inspire students to explore the world of chemical sciences while fostering a safe, engaging, and analytical learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive lectures on Inorganic, Organic, and Physical Chemistry in alignment with the school's curriculum (CBSE/State Board).
Lab Management: Conduct regular laboratory practicals safely and efficiently. Demonstrate experiments, guide students in handling apparatus, and maintain strict adherence to lab safety protocols.
Exam Preparation: Prepare students thoroughly for board examinations, internal assessments, and competitive exams (like JEE/NEET, if applicable).
Assessment & Feedback: Design quality question papers, evaluate assignments, and provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve.
Mentorship: Guide and counsel students on their academic progress, higher education choices, and career paths in science.
Collaboration: Participate in departmental meetings, school events, workshops, and parent-teacher meetings (PTMs) to discuss student growth.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Chemistry (M.Sc. Chemistry) from a recognized university. A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree is highly preferred/mandatory.
Experience: [Insert Number, e.g., 2–5 years] of teaching experience handling senior secondary classes (Grades 11 & 12) in a reputed school.
Subject Expertise: Strong conceptual clarity in higher-level Chemistry and familiarity with the latest board blueprints and marking schemes.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English. Proficiency in digital teaching tools (smartboards, educational software) is a plus.
