Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
The ideal candidate will have good hands & exposure in the automotive industry, specifically in vehicle telematics.
The role requires a deep understanding of various communication protocols (CAN, TCP/IP, HTTP, MQTT, LIN, UART) and embedded architectures.
Telematics Protocol Expertise: Hands-on experience with serial protocols, CAN analysis (vector-canoe, CANalyzer), and CAN simulation tools.
Communication Protocol knowledge: CAN, TCP/IP, VLAN, HTTP, MQTT, LIN, UART
Software Testing: Proficiency in integration, black-box, sanity, smoke, unit testing, and validation of software APIs.
Defect & Log Analysis: Identify defects, generate reports, and perform log analysis for debugging.
Network Simulators: Knowledge of 2G, 3G, 4G simulators is advantageous.
Cellular Protocols: Familiarity with 5G, LTE, UMTS, GSM, and location-based technologies is a plus.
System Knowledge: Strong understanding of hardware systems, I/Os, and debugging processes.
Cloud & Security: Exposure to cloud technologies, product security methods, and connectivity trends.
Mobile & ECU Testing: Experience with mobile app testing and automotive ECUs from a telematics perspective.
Experience
10-12 years
Industry Preferred
Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields.
