Key Responsibilities1. Production Planning & Execution
- Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans for fabrication and sheet-metal operations.
- Allocate resources (manpower, machines, tools) to meet production targets.
- Monitor production output and take corrective actions to minimize downtime.
2. Process Engineering & Improvement
- Define and optimize manufacturing processes such as cutting, bending, punching, laser/waterjet operations, welding, and finishing.
- Prepare and update process flow diagrams, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Conduct time studies, line balancing, and implement lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, SMED, etc.).
3. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Analyze production issues related to fabrication, welding distortions, tooling, fixture design, or machine performance.
- Coordinate with design and maintenance teams to resolve technical problems.
4. Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure all components meet dimensional, material, and finishing standards.
- Work closely with QA to establish quality check sheets and inspection criteria.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality deviations.
5. Material & Inventory Management
- Coordinate with the supply chain team for raw materials like sheets, profiles, and consumables.
- Monitor stock levels and reduce wastage using controlled workflows.
6. Cost & Productivity Optimization
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities in process cycles, material usage, and tooling.
- Improve machine utilization and reduce cycle times.
7. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, PPE usage, and statutory compliance in fabrication activities.
- Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Skills & Competencies Required
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes: shearing, bending, forming, punching, laser cutting, MIG/TIG welding, etc.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, GD&T, and BOMs.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) preferred.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and TPM.
- Problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
