1. Planning & Workpack Development
- Develop detailed executable job plans for welding and fabrication activities arising from Inspection reports, Fitness for Service (FFS) assessments, RBI recommendations, MOC and engineering change projects.
- Prepare complete workpacks, including Scope of work and repair methodology, Welding procedures (WPS) and repair sketches, Step by step job execution sequence, Manpower, duration, and skill requirements, Tools, consumables, and equipment requirements, Inspection and quality control hold points.
- Ensure workpacks are aligned with engineering drawings, repair standards, and approved MOC documentation.
2. Welding & Fabrication Technical Support
- Review welding repair recommendations, Fabrication drawings and isometrics, Piping / Piping support repair details.
- Ensure correct application of Welding processes and repair techniques, Material grades and compatibility, Pre heat, PWHT, and heat treatment requirements
- Verify readiness of WPS, PQR, and welder qualification records prior to execution.
3. Inspection & Quality Management
- Define inspection and test plans (ITP) within workpacks, including Fit up inspection, Visual inspection (VT), NDT requirements (RT, UT, MT, PT), PWHT and final inspection acceptance.
- Coordinate with inspection teams to ensure Inspection sequencing matches execution plan. Ensure inspection requirements are completed and properly documented prior to job close out in CMMS.
4. Isolation, Blinding & Purging Planning
- Prepare / Coordinate with Operations and Process teams to ensure correct isolation philosophy, Blinds list, spade handling, line break requirements, Purging, gas freeing, and leak testing requirements.
5. Coordination & Execution Support
- Liaise with Integrity and Inspection teams for scope clarification, Engineering for technical approvals and MOC alignment, Operations for isolations, permits, and SIMOPS planning, HSE for risk assessment and safety compliance.
- Interface with contractors to clarify scope, technical requirements, and timelines, Ensure contractor readiness and material availability.
- Participate in routine planning, shutdown/TAR planning, and execution review meetings.
- Support development and updating standard welding repair plans and planning templates.
