Your impact
The BIM Technician will support the Ports & Maritime discipline by delivering high-quality 2D/3D modelling, CAD drafting, and BIM outputs for marine infrastructure projects. The role requires adaptability to new domains, with a focus on learning and applying BIM tools to maritime structures.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and develop 2D/3D models and drawings using Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other BIM tools.
Support design teams in producing accurate construction documentation and extraction of quantities.
Collaborate with engineers on pile-supported, combiwall/sheet piled, and precast blockwork structures .
Assist in adapting highway/bridge modelling experience to marine structures through training and project exposure.
Ensure compliance with Jacobs’ BIM standards, workflows, and project delivery requirements.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver Ports & Maritime projects .
Maintain project files using ProjectWise and BIM360 platforms.
Support coordination and clash detection using Navisworks .
Provide technical input and maintain accuracy in subject knowledge and documentation .
Here's what you'll need
Educational Background : Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline (meets role requirements).
Technical Skills :
AutoCAD – Good proficiency
Revit (2D/3D) – Good proficiency
Civil 3D – Basic knowledge
Bluebeam, Navisworks – Familiarity
ProjectWise, BIM360 – Working knowledge
Experience :
Prior exposure to highway and bridge projects .
Willingness to learn and adapt to marine structures (training will be provided).
