We are looking for an experienced Senior Architect who can take ownership of architectural design and execution while leading a team and coordinating closely with clients, consultants, and site teams.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Senior Architect will be responsible for leading architectural projects from concept to completion. The role requires strong design judgment, technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively between design, consultants, clients, and execution teams.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable taking end-to-end ownership of projects, reviewing drawings, solving design and site issues, mentoring team members, and ensuring projects remain aligned with quality, timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead architectural design for residential and commercial projects from concept development to execution.
- Develop and review concept plans, layouts, working drawings, detailed drawings, elevations, sections, and specifications.
- Coordinate architectural designs with structural, MEP, interior, landscape, and other consultants.
- Conduct regular design reviews and ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, and construction-ready.
- Coordinate with project managers and site teams to resolve design and execution-related issues.
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, design discussions, and approvals.
- Review material selections, finishes, construction details, and design changes.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, local regulations, development controls, and approval requirements.
- Manage architectural deliverables, project schedules, priorities, and deadlines.
- Conduct site visits and quality checks to ensure execution is in accordance with approved designs.
- Identify design risks, technical challenges, and coordination issues and provide practical solutions.
- Guide and mentor junior architects and designers.
- Introduce improved design processes, digital workflows, BIM practices, and other relevant technologies.
- Maintain proper documentation, drawing revisions, specifications, and project records.
- Work closely with management to improve design quality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and project delivery.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch/M.Arch) from a recognized institution.
- 5+ years of relevant architectural experience, preferably in residential and commercial projects.
- Strong architectural design and leadership experience, with the ability to take on a senior or head-level role and independently manage the complete architectural function.
- Ability to lead projects and take ownership from concept development and design through coordination and execution.
- Experience in managing, guiding, and mentoring architectural and design teams.
- Strong command of architectural planning, design development, detailing, working drawings, and construction documentation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM tools, and other relevant architectural software.
- Strong experience in coordinating with clients, structural, MEP, interior, landscape, and other consultants.
- Ability to oversee project planning and execution, resolve design and technical challenges, and ensure smooth coordination between all stakeholders.
- Experience in site coordination, construction supervision, and quality control.
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, approvals, and construction practices.
- Strong client communication, presentation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Professional registration/licensure will be an added advantage.
