Position: Planning Engineer
We are looking for a highly organized and technically strong Planning Engineer / Technical Coordinator who can centrally monitor and coordinate multiple projects from Head Office.
The candidate will be responsible for project planning, quantity estimation, budgeting, technical coordination, progress monitoring, material management, and reporting directly to company Directors.
The role requires strong knowledge of drawings, execution planning, budgeting, reconciliation, and coordination with Project Managers for smooth execution of projects.
Place of Work: Head Office (Full Time)
Experience Required: More than 5 years, out of which minimum 3 years of working in HO
Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. Civil
Key Roles & Responsibilities :-
1. Project Planning & Coordination
Prepare detailed project planning schedules and activity sequencing.
Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure work execution is progressing as per approved planning.
Monitor Target vs Actual progress regularly.
Identify delays, bottlenecks, and critical project issues.
2. Quantity Estimation & Drawing Study
Read and understand project drawings, BOQ, and specifications.
Prepare quantity estimations from approved drawings.
Verify site quantities and execution quantities.
Coordinate with site engineers regarding drawing clarifications.
3. Budgeting & Cost Control
Prepare Master Budget.
Prepare Monthly Budget.
Conduct Project Cost Analysis.
Monitor project expenditures and compare with planned budget.
Suggest cost-control measures to management.
4. Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Review Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and Weekly Progress Reports (WPR).
Monitor manpower, machinery, and productivity at site.
Prepare consolidated progress reports for Directors.
Report daily project hurdles, delays, and technical issues to management.
5. Material Planning & Reconciliation
Verify and approve material requirements received from site.
Ensure material availability as per project planning.
Prepare material reconciliation statements.
Monitor material consumption and wastage.
6. Contractor & Billing Verification
Check and verify Labour Contractor Bills.
Check and verify Subcontractor Bills.
Check and verify Machinery Bills.
Ensure quantities and work progress match billing claims.
Coordinate with Accounts and Billing departments for approvals.
7. Resource Management
Verify whether manpower and machinery deployed at site are adequate as per project requirement.
Coordinate with Project Managers for resource planning.
8. Technical Coordination Coordinate between:
Site Team
Directors
Billing Department
Purchase Department
Contractors & Vendors
Ensure smooth flow of technical information between departments.
9. MIS & Documentation
Maintain project MIS and planning records.
Prepare monthly project review reports.
Track pending approvals, drawings, variations, and site issues.
Key Skills Required :-
Strong knowledge of Railway / Infrastructure / Civil projects
Excellent understanding of drawings and BOQ
Proficiency in:
MS Excel
MS Project / Primavera (Preferred)
AutoCAD
Strong analytical and coordination skills
Good communication and reporting abilities
Budgeting and reconciliation knowledge
Performance Expectations

Preferred Candidate Profile
Experience in Railway / RVNL / Government infrastructure projects preferred
Strong leadership and follow-up capability
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Problem-solving mindset with proactive approach
Compensation
Salary and benefits shall be based on experience, technical capabilities, and project handling expertise.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
