Specializing in turnkey welding and assembly lines, PAL provides robust, intelligent, and scalable production solutions with a focus on innovation and future-ready technologies.Role SummaryThe Project Trainee – Mechanical will support the project and site teams in planning, tracking, and executing mechanical works for automation and industrial EPC projects. You will assist in setting up site processes, documentation, and reporting systems that improve quality and reduce rework. This role is designed as a strong learning platform to build your capabilities in mechanical project execution, quality, and safety in a real project environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the project/site engineer in day-to-day execution of mechanical works, including installation of structures, equipment, piping, and assemblies as per approved drawings and method statements.
- Support in reading and understanding mechanical and GA drawings, equipment layouts, and BOQs to help plan material requirements and daily work fronts.
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, manpower and material tracking sheets, and basic planning trackers using MS Excel/Google Sheets and MS Project (under guidance).
- Coordinate with site supervisors, contractors, vendors, and client representatives for work sequencing, clearances, inspections, and resolution of minor site issues.
- Assist in basic quality checks for mechanical works (fit-up, alignment, visual checks, measurements) and ensure proper documentation of inspections, punch lists, and closure.
- Support implementation of safety practices at site by following toolbox talks, PPE usage, and safe work procedures, and by reporting unsafe conditions to the site engineer.
- Contribute to setting up and standardizing site documentation processes (checklists, formats, logs) to reduce rework, improve traceability, and stabilize site execution.
Essential requirements
- B.E. Mechanical with 0–2 years of experience in construction, EPC, or industrial projects (including internships or final-year projects)
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems used in projects such as piping, structural steel, HVAC, or equipment installation

Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings, GA drawings, and equipment layouts
