Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, statutory compliance, and timely reporting. The role supports budgeting, audits, and financial control to maintain the organization’s financial health.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, and trial balance
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Reconcile bank statements, cash, and vendor accounts
- Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory compliances
- Manage payroll accounting and salary-related entries
- Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to approved budgets
- Assist in internal and external audits and provide required documentation
- Maintain proper documentation of invoices, vouchers, and financial records
- Coordinate with vendors, auditors, banks, and internal departments
- Support management with MIS reports and financial analysis
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, ERP, SAP, etc.)
- Good understanding of GST, TDS, and statutory compliances
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance
- CA-Inter / CMA-Inter / M.Com preferred (not mandatory)
Experience
- 1–5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience in hospitality / resort / service industry is an added advantage
