PhD in Nanoscience and Technology, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a closely related discipline.
Candidates should have demonstrated research expertise in electrochemical sensing, functional nanomaterials, memristive devices, flexible electronics, or energy-storage applications.
Job Description
The selected candidate will be expected to:
Design, synthesize, and characterize advanced functional nanomaterials for electrochemical sensing, memristor devices, and energy-storage applications.
Fabricate and optimize electrochemical sensors, resistive switching devices, and energy-storage electrodes.
Perform comprehensive structural, morphological, electrical, electrochemical, and spectroscopic characterization using advanced analytical techniques.
Analyze experimental data, prepare technical reports, and publish research findings in high-impact SCI-indexed journals.
Assist in developing research proposals and establishing collaborations with national and international research groups.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and lead high-impact research in electrochemical sensing, memristive devices, and advanced energy-storage technologies.
Supervise and mentor undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral researchers.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams.
Contribute to externally funded research proposals, patents, scientific publications, and industrial collaborations.
Present research outcomes at national and international conferences.
Desirable Skills
Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas will be preferred:
Nanomaterial synthesis (hydrothermal, solvothermal, electrospinning, chemical vapour deposition, etc.).
Thin film/device fabrication and microfabrication techniques.
Electrochemical characterization (CV, EIS, DPV, SWV, GCD, etc.).
Fabrication and characterization of electrochemical sensors, memristors, or supercapacitors/batteries.
Experience with materials characterization techniques such as SEM, TEM, XRD, Raman, XPS, FTIR, BET, UV–Visible spectroscopy, and impedance analysis.
Scientific programming and data analysis using MATLAB, Python, Origin, or COMSOL will be an added advantage.
Strong scientific writing and publication skills.
