Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced General Manager – Accounts to lead the Finance & Accounts function across Teerth Realties' real estate and construction operations.
The position will be responsible for overall financial control, project accounting, MIS, budgeting, cash-flow management, taxation, statutory compliance, audits, banking, project profitability and financial planning. The role will work closely with the MD/Directors, Projects, Sales, CRM, Legal, Purchase and Commercial teams to support business decisions and ensure strong financial governance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial & Accounting Management
- Oversee complete accounting operations of the organization and group entities.
- Ensure accurate accounting for land acquisition, construction, development, sales and project expenses.
- Review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Ensure proper ledger scrutiny, reconciliations and closing of books.
- Establish strong financial controls and accounting processes.
- Monitor project-wise profitability and financial performance.
2. Project Accounting & Cost Control
- Monitor project-wise income, expenditure, commitments and profitability.
- Analyse construction costs against approved budgets.
- Coordinate with Projects, Purchase and Commercial teams for cost control.
- Review vendor bills, contractor payments and project-related expenses.
- Monitor project cash requirements and payment schedules.
3. MIS & Management Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly MIS to the management.
- Develop project-wise P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow reports.
- Provide financial analysis and business insights to the Directors/Management.
- Track budgets versus actual expenditure.
- Develop financial dashboards and KPIs for management review.
4. Budgeting & Financial Planning
- Prepare annual budgets and project budgets.
- Develop financial projections and cash-flow forecasts.
- Analyse project funding requirements.
- Support management in investment and financial decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization.
5. Banking & Finance
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Handle project finance, working capital and loan-related requirements.
- Prepare/review CMA data, projections, loan proposals and financial statements.
- Monitor loan disbursements, repayments and interest obligations.
- Ensure timely submission of financial information to lenders.
The current Teerth Senior Accounts Manager role specifically mentions bank-loan processes, CMA data and projections, so these responsibilities should sit at a higher strategic level under the GM Accounts.
6. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Review GST returns, TDS returns and tax reconciliations.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and statutory authorities.
- Monitor tax assessments, notices and litigation matters.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance across projects/entities.
7. Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate statutory, internal and project audits.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Maintain proper financial documentation and internal controls.
- Liaise with auditors, consultants and regulatory authorities.
8. Receivables & Collections
- Monitor customer receivables and project collections.
- Coordinate with Sales and CRM teams for collection targets.
- Review outstanding customer balances and ageing reports.
- Ensure timely accounting and reconciliation of customer receipts.
9. Vendor & Payables Management
- Monitor vendor ledgers and payment cycles.
- Ensure vendor reconciliation and timely settlement.
- Review major contractor/vendor payments.
- Establish appropriate approval and payment controls.
10. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the Accounts & Finance team.
- Allocate responsibilities and establish performance standards.
- Review team performance and ensure timely completion of accounting activities.
- Build SOPs and internal financial-control systems.
- Coordinate with Accounts teams across different projects/entities.

- 15+ years of experience in Finance & Accounts.
- Strong experience in Real Estate/Construction is preferred.

- Strong exposure to project finance, banking, taxation and audits.
- Experience interacting with senior management, banks, auditors and consultants.
Pay: ₹1,300,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
