About the Role
Bagmo / LoggFi is expanding its hardware team and is looking for a Junior IoT Hardware Engineer – Deployment & QA to join us full-time.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with electronics and prefers hands-on hardware work. If you have spent your college years building project circuits, working with microcontrollers, and are more comfortable with a soldering iron and multimeter than a spreadsheet, you’ll fit right in.
In this role, you will be involved in the complete journey of our IoT hardware, from production and quality testing to on-site deployment, troubleshooting, and providing feedback for future hardware improvements.
Key Responsibilities1. Production & Quality Assurance
- Test IoT hardware devices before deployment.
- Flash firmware onto devices.
- Assemble and calibrate temperature and telemetry loggers.
- Perform quality checks and ensure devices are ready for deployment.
2. On-Site Installation & Deployment
- Travel to client sites for hardware deployments.
- Install IoT devices at hospitals, blood banks, and cold storage labs.
- Configure network connectivity for deployed devices.
- Assist and train client staff to use the devices effectively.
3. Hardware Troubleshooting & Support
- Act as the first point of contact for clients when a device goes offline or experiences issues.
- Diagnose hardware and connectivity-related problems.
- Perform hardware debugging and identify the root cause of failures.
- Resolve issues and ensure devices are functioning properly.
4. R&D Feedback & Hardware Improvement
- Identify and document issues observed during real-world deployments.
- Provide feedback to the R&D team based on field experiences.
- Work directly with the team to help improve future hardware designs and products.
Who We’re Looking For
We would love to hear from candidates who have:
- Diploma / B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) or Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE).
- Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience.
- Solid fundamentals in electronics and hardware debugging.
- Basic understanding of embedded communication protocols such as:
- UART
- I2C
- SPI
- Wi-Fi
- GSM
- A genuine interest in electronics and hands-on hardware work.
- Comfortable working with tools such as a soldering iron and multimeter.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for on-site deployments.
- Comfortable communicating directly with clients and assisting them with hardware setups and issues.
- Willingness to work on-site with the team at Bagmo HQ, Maker Village, Kochi
