Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Officer to manage field sales operations in Bhubaneswar. The role involves direct market visits, distributor coordination, retailer appointments, order collection, and achieving monthly sales targets. This is a fully field-based role requiring extensive travel within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage assigned sales territory within Bhubaneswar and nearby areas
- Appoint new distributors / retailers and expand market coverage
- Achieve primary and secondary sales targets on a monthly basis
- Ensure effective product placement, visibility, and branding in retail outlets
- Conduct daily market visits and submit Daily Sales Reports (DSR)
- Maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and channel partners
- Monitor competitor activities and report market intelligence
- Ensure timely collection of payments and outstanding follow-ups
- Execute company promotional schemes and marketing activities
- Maintain discipline, attendance, and route planning efficiency
Qualification & Skills
- MBA (Marketing) or any equivalent management qualification
- 0–5 years of experience in FMCG / Dairy / Food / Consumer Goods preferred
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and reporting
- Ability to work independently in field conditions
- Must own a vehicle for daily field movement
