About the opportunity:
Our client is in the Digital Payments & Financial Technology domain. The client is a leading organization handling large-scale online payment and transaction processing systems across India.
They are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Production Support Engineer professional to manage and monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, support Linux environments, and ensure smooth functioning of critical applications.
The primary objective of the candidate will be responsible for maintaining system uptime, handling incidents, monitoring transactions, and coordinating with multiple technical teams.
Preferred candidate profile
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Production Support or IT Operations within a Linux-based production environment.
- Bachelors in Computer Science/Information Technology or relevant field in computer science (minimum 60% above)
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of monitoring tools (like Nagios), deployment concepts (Jenkins), and basic scripting (Shell/Bash or Python Basics).
- Domain Knowledge: Prior experience in Banking, FinTech, or Payments industry domains with exposure to transaction monitoring is highly preferred.
- Core Strengths: Excellent troubleshooting, log analysis, and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Role & responsibilities:
- System Monitoring: Actively monitor production applications, critical infrastructure, transaction failures, alerts, and overall application performance to ensure high availability.
- Incident Management: Provide first-level (L1) support for production incidents and operational issues. Analyze system logs, troubleshoot issues.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Coordinate efficiently with Development, Infrastructure, Network, and Database teams for issue escalation and resolution tracking.
- Ticket & Report Management: Handle end-to-end ticketing systems, escalation pathways, and prepare daily operational/downtime analysis reports.
- Environment Maintenance: Perform basic Linux/Unix administration tasks and monitoring routines to safeguard smooth payment processing workflows.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
