Job Summary:
The Head of the CIO India Delivery Hub is responsible for establishing, scaling, and leading a high-performing technology hub in India that acts as a fully integrated extension of the global CIO organization. The Hub will encompass Development, QA, UX, and related technology functions, and will include an IT Academy designed to develop graduate talent into productive engineering professionals. This role serves as the senior-most CIO leader in India and is an active member of the Global CIO Leadership Team. Operating under the strategic direction of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) based in Europe, the leader ensures that India-based teams operate seamlessly with European colleagues as part of a cohesive, globally aligned technology organization. The role has a dotted line reporting to the Country Head, India for local direction, ecosystem and collaboration with various local functions.
The position requires strong people leadership, organizational-building capability, and the ability to foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and collaboration across functions in the region while preserving the operational, cultural, and strategic unity of the global CIO organization.
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in managing technology teams or scaling high-performing engineering organisations.
Proven expertise in Project and Delivery Management across Waterfall and Agile methodologies e.g., PMI/PMBOK or PRINCE2 for structured delivery (stage-gates, milestones, change control) Scrum/Kanban/SAFe for iterative delivery.
Experience with hybrid governance, RAID/dependency management, and planning across distributed teams is a strong advantage.
Demonstrated track record in people leadership, coaching, and organizational development.
Experience managing or collaborating with distributed, cross-regional teams.
Strong understanding of modern engineering, QA, and UX practices, tools, and workflows.
Experience running or contributing to graduate training or academy programs is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work in diversified culture.
