Job Description: Account Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to lead client relationships and ensure the delivery of high-quality accounting services. You will act as the bridge between our technical teams and our valued clients, ensuring compliance, driving advisory value, and maintaining the standards of excellence our firm is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of clients; manage expectations, service delivery, and overall satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance: Review and approve all client-facing communications, including emails, financial reports, and strategic deliverables.
- Compliance & Filing: Prepare and finalise year-end accounts and VAT returns. Perform final reviews of all submissions for HMRC and Companies House prior to client authorisation.
- Technical Advisory: Liaise with clients on complex technical queries, providing sound advice on UK tax laws and accounting standards.
- Growth & Strategy: Identify opportunities for cross-selling services such as tax planning, specialized compliance, and business advisory.
- Team Leadership: Oversee internal task allocation, monitor staff performance, and ensure internal coordination meets client deadlines.
- Profitability: Monitor the health of client accounts, ensuring retention and project profitability.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience: Proven track record in a UK-based practice environment with extensive knowledge of UK GAAP and tax regulations.
- Leadership: Strong experience in reviewing the work of junior accountants and managing a diverse portfolio.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial clients.
- Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in cloud accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and digital reporting tools (MTD).
- Qualifications: ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience level).
- Analytical Mindset: Sharp attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving client challenges.
Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹130,000.00 per month
