Role Overview
The Senior Executive – Procurement & Assurance (Construction & CSR Projects) is responsible for overseeing project execution, site supervision, quality assurance, contractor coordination, and compliance for construction, renovation, and CSR infrastructure projects. The role ensures timely project execution while maintaining quality standards, safety compliance, budget adherence, and effective stakeholder coordination across project locations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Execution & Supervision
- Supervise daily construction and renovation activities to ensure compliance with architectural and structural drawings.
- Carry out site layout, setting out, and leveling prior to concreting and masonry works.
- Manage structural retrofitting, demolition, and renovation activities while safeguarding the integrity of existing structures.
- Be proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Travel extensively across UWBe project locations.
- Be willing to undertake approximately 70% travel within and outside Karnataka.
- Liaise confidently with clients, contractors, consultants, and project team members, including managing budgets and labour resources to meet project timelines.
2. Quality Control & Assurance (QA/QC)
- Ensure strict quality checks for construction materials and workmanship.
- Review structural and architectural specifications to avoid site discrepancies and rework.
- Maintain standard checklists, testing records, and compliance reports.
3. Planning & Resource Management
- Forecast labour, machinery, and material requirements on a daily and weekly basis.
- Coordinate with procurement teams and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
4. Renovation-Specific Responsibilities
- Assess existing structures and document damages, leakages, and structural deficiencies before renovation.
- Monitor dismantling activities, debris disposal, and integration of new MEP services with existing systems.
5. Stakeholder & Contractor Management
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, PMC teams, subcontractors, and architectural consultants.
- Verify contractor bills based on actual site measurements and completed work.
6. Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
- Conduct safety briefings, enforce PPE usage, and proactively mitigate site hazards.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of civil construction, renovation, and project execution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, HSE standards, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management, coordination, and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and resource planning abilities.
- High level of integrity, compliance awareness, and attention to detail.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in civil execution, structural modifications, renovation projects, and PMC processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management tools.
- Fluency in English, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi. Knowledge of local languages is mandatory.
