What your role will entail
- Teaching the Akanksha SST curriculum through effective pedagogical practices
- Designing and delivering engaging lessons in History, Geography, Civics and Social Science
- Using discussions, activities, projects, debates and real-world examples to make learning meaningful
- Designing assessments to evaluate conceptual understanding, critical thinking and student progress
- Adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Encouraging students to ask questions, express perspectives and develop critical thinking
- Connecting classroom learning with current events, society and students’ everyday experiences
- Creating a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Building strong relationships with students, parents, community and the school team
- Participating in professional development, school training, meetings, extra-curricular and celebratory activities
- Making occasional community visits to stay connected with parents
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong subject knowledge in Social Studies/Social Science
- Good understanding of History, Geography and Civics
- Ability to simplify concepts and make learning engaging and relatable
- Adaptability to new instructional approaches
- Strong planning, organisation and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Openness to feedback and critical reflection
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹37,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
