JOB DESCRIPTION
· 5–8 years of relevant laboratory/testing experience
· Lab Lead will be responsible to maintain the Complete Quality function and the technical function of an NABL Accredited lab
· To lead day-to-day technical operations of the Reliability & Environmental Testing, Laboratory, ensuring that all testing activities are technically competent, properly documented and compliant with NABL accreditation requirements, ISO/IEC 17025:2017, applicable test standards and customer specifications.
· The Lead will be responsible for test planning, execution, technical review, equipment readiness, test-data evaluation, team supervision and continuous improvement, Quality System being maintained as per NABL norms for laboratory operations.
· Responsible for NABL assessment, surveillance and reassessment activities.
· Identify non-conformities and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
· Conducting Internal audits, management reviews and laboratory improvement activities.
· Follow Quality Management System and responsible for record keeping and audits for the tests performed
· Responsible for all Reliability & Environmental Testing activities (incl Cimatic tests, Vibration testing, IPX,) from feasibility confirmation (RFQ stage) until final report preparation and approval along with customer interaction and coordination during testing
· Perform other duties as assigned by management
· Leadership Qualities - Train and mentor junior engineers. - Evaluate technical competency of laboratory personnel. - Maintain training and competency records. - Conduct periodic technical competency evaluations. - Ensure safe working practices within the laboratory. - Develop backup competency for critical test activities
· Participate in technical discussions with customers to Clarify test requirements and acceptance criteria followed with Review RFQ/QRF technical requirements. On need Provide technical inputs for quotations with Estimate test duration, equipment requirements and manpower. - Support project planning and capacity utilization, forecast for assets and procurement for lab expansion - Communicate technical issues to customers and resolve conflicts if any
· Technical Knowledge requirements - ISO/IEC 17025:2017, Knowledge of standards such as IEC 60068, MIL-STD810, ISO 16750, JSS, ASTM, SAE and customer-specific standards (Automotive, semi conduct industries, etc.,)
· Experience in understanding electrical & mechanical product in industrial / aerospace / automotive / medical / energy domain
· Good Conceptual, problem solving and Analytical Skills with learning attitude.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
