The Assistant Chef supports the Head Chef in preparing and serving quality food items for theatre guests. The role involves food preparation, maintaining kitchen hygiene, managing ingredients, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations during peak show timings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing snacks, meals, beverages, and combo items as per menu standards.
- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors about inventory requirements.
- Store food items properly and check expiry dates regularly.
- Assist in receiving and organizing kitchen supplies.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support the team during weekends, holidays, and high-crowd movie releases.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain cost control practices.
Qualification
- Diploma & B.sc Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred.
Experience
- 1 to 3 years of experience in restaurants, cafés, food courts, hotels, or cinema theatres.
