Job Summary
The Transport Executive is responsible for managing daily transportation operations, vehicle deployment, driver coordination, route planning, and ensuring timely movement of goods while maintaining compliance with safety and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor daily vehicle movement and transportation activities.
- Plan and allocate vehicles as per operational requirements.
- Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of materials/goods.
- Maintain records of vehicle utilization, trip sheets, fuel consumption, and driver attendance.
- Coordinate with warehouse, operations, and vendors for smooth transportation activities.
- Track vehicles and resolve transit-related issues.
- Monitor transportation costs and optimize routes to improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, road safety norms, and company policies.
- Handle driver management, including scheduling, briefing, and performance monitoring.
- Maintain transportation MIS reports and submit daily/weekly reports.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance, servicing, insurance, permits, and documentation.
- Address customer and internal stakeholder transportation concerns promptly.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (Logistics/Supply Chain preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet management.
- Knowledge of vehicle operations, route planning, and transport documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and transportation management systems.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
