We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Operation Theatre Technician to assist surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff during surgical procedures. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining OT readiness, sterilization, and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operation theatre before surgeries
- Sterilize and arrange surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures
- Maintain aseptic and infection-control standards
- Operate OT equipment such as lights, suction, cautery, monitors
- Assist in patient positioning and transfer
- Clean and reset OT after procedures
- Manage OT inventory and report low stock
- Follow hospital safety and biomedical waste protocols
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in OT Technology or related field
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization techniques
- Ability to work in shifts and emergency situations
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and adherence to protocols
