About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Vulnerability Management Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, validating, prioritizing, and tracking vulnerabilities across systems, applications, and cloud environments to improve the organization’s overall security posture.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in vulnerability management, penetration testing, or incident response, along with strong scripting and cloud security knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Validate, prioritize, communicate, and track vulnerabilities throughout the vulnerability management lifecycle
- Perform automated and manual validation of vulnerabilities across infrastructure and applications
- Respond to emerging threats and newly disclosed zero-day vulnerabilities
- Work closely with internal teams to improve security posture and ensure timely remediation
- Ensure compliance with vulnerability management policies, procedures, and industry best practices
- Automate and streamline vulnerability management processes to reduce remediation timelines
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to communicate security risks effectively
- Support continuous improvement of vulnerability management programs and security operations
- Build trust with customers and partners by maintaining a strong and proactive security program
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field
- 2–5 years of experience in Vulnerability Management, Penetration Testing, or Incident Response
- Strong understanding of vulnerability management tools such as:
- OpenVAS
- Nessus
- DefectDojo
- Hands-on experience with Linux, Windows, and MacOS environments
- Knowledge of networking concepts and security protocols
- Experience with cloud platforms:
- AWS
- Azure
- GCP
- Ability to assess security risks and prioritize vulnerabilities based on business impact
- Strong scripting skills in:
- Ruby (Preferred)
- Python
- Shell Scripting
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Burp Suite
- Tenable
- AWS State Manager
- Metasploit Framework
- Hands-on experience validating and reproducing vulnerabilities
- Security certifications such as:
- CISSP
- CISM
- SANS GEVA
- GCIA
- GCIH
