Job Title: Store Keeper (Marble & Tile Industry)
Job Summary
Responsible for managing the storage, inventory, and movement of premium marble tiles. Ensures proper handling, accurate stock records, and timely dispatch while maintaining quality and minimizing damage.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming marble blocks, slabs, and tiles; verify quantity and quality against purchase orders
- Maintain accurate inventory records (manual or software-based)
- Organize and store marble materials safely to prevent damage or breakage
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or excess inventory
- Coordinate with procurement and sales teams for material requirements
- Prepare and manage goods dispatch, including packing and documentation
- Conduct regular stock audits and physical verification
- Ensure proper labeling and identification of marble types, sizes, and batches
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the storage area
- Handle loading/unloading activities with care
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Store Keeper, preferably in marble, granite, or tile industry
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and basic computer skills
- Understanding of marble quality, sizes, and handling techniques
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments
