Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our R&D team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in embedded hardware design, schematic development, multi-layer PCB layout design, component selection, prototype development, debugging, and product validation. The candidate will be responsible for taking hardware products from concept/prototype stage to production-ready designs while ensuring reliability, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards.
Hardware Design Tools-
Altium Designer v25.7, Orcad Allegro v23, CAM350, GerbView .Most important is Allegro followed by Altium . Hands on layout design with expertise in signal and power integrity is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop embedded hardware solutions from concept definition to production release.
- Perform complete hardware design cycle including requirement analysis, architecture definition, schematic design, PCB layout design prototype development, testing, and validation.
- Develop multi-layer PCB designs up to 6 layers including mixed-signal, high-speed, and power electronics designs.
- Create and review schematics, PCB layouts, Gerber files, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documents.
- Perform component selection and evaluation based on technical requirements, cost, availability, and reliability.
- Design hardware interfaces using communication protocols such as:
- UART, I2C, SPI, USB 2.0/3.0, CAN, RS485
- Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, troubleshooting, and failure analysis using laboratory equipment.
- Support EMI/EMC design considerations and compliance activities.
Required Technical Skills:
PCB Design:
- Strong experience in PCB design and layout for embedded hardware products.
- Knowledge of PCB stack-up design, signal integrity, power integrity, impedance control, and thermal management.
- Understanding of IPC standards, especially IPC-2221.
- Experience with footprint creation, component libraries, and design reviews.
Embedded Hardware:
- Experience with MCU-based hardware design.
Testing & Debugging:
Hands-on experience with:
Digital Storage Oscilloscope (DSO), Digital Multimeter (DMM), LCR Meter, Function Generator, Logic Analyzer
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field.
