Job Summary
The Facility Manager is responsible for managing the factory's infrastructure, utilities, maintenance coordination, and support services to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations. The role oversees building maintenance, utility systems, security, housekeeping, statutory compliance, vendor management, and facility improvement projects while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesFacility & Infrastructure Management
- Oversee the maintenance of factory buildings, offices, warehouses, roads, drainage systems, and other infrastructure.
- Ensure proper functioning of utilities, including power distribution, DG sets, compressors, HVAC systems, water supply, sewage treatment plants (STP), effluent treatment plants (ETP), and fire protection systems.
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance of facility assets.
- Coordinate facility expansion, renovation, and civil works.
Utility & Asset Management
- Monitor utility consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives.
- Maintain records of facility assets and equipment.
- Ensure optimum availability of utilities to support production.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, environmental requirements, and occupational health and safety standards.
- Conduct regular facility safety inspections and audits.
- Ensure fire protection systems and emergency response equipment are operational.
- Coordinate statutory inspections and maintain required licenses and documentation.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage contracts for housekeeping, security, pest control, canteen, landscaping, waste disposal, and maintenance services.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure service-level compliance.
- Negotiate contracts and control operating costs.
Administration
- Supervise housekeeping, security, transport, and cafeteria operations.
- Manage office and employee facilities.
- Support employee welfare initiatives related to facility services.
Budget & Cost Control
- Prepare and manage annual facility budgets.
- Monitor operating expenses and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Ensure timely procurement of facility-related materials and services.
Team Management
- Lead and develop the facility maintenance and administration team.
- Allocate work, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, EHS, HR, and procurement departments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
- 8–12 years of experience in facility management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience managing factory infrastructure, utilities, and statutory compliance.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of factory infrastructure and utility systems.
- Understanding of electrical, mechanical, civil, HVAC, fire protection, STP/ETP, and utility operations.
- Knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Vendor and contract management.
- Budgeting and cost control.
- Project management and coordination.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS or ERP systems (e.g., SAP).

- Facility and utility uptime.

- Utility cost optimization (power, water, fuel).
- Zero major safety or statutory compliance violations.
- Vendor performance and SLA compliance.

Preferred Certifications
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP).
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety certification.
- ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation or internal auditor certification (preferred).
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
